Diwali - The Festival of Lights
The festival of Diwali has to be witnessed to be believed. In India, in particular, it is a real family occasion combining worship, the giving of gifts and the preparation of special foods, much as Christmas is celebrated in Christian cultures.

Sunni, Shi'a—What The Bleep’s the Difference?
Rugged as the Blue Ridge Mountains of the American East were those roughhewn giants that settled on opposite shores of the winding Tug Fork River. The Hatfield’s of West Virginia and the McCoys of Kentucky turned their backs on the genteel society of their Virginia homeland, and set out for the freedom of the untamed Appalachian wilderness.

God Loves Emotional Wrecks
Being on the brink of tears makes me think of something my friend and I read together a few nights ago: the story in Luke 7 of the sinful woman who dared approach Jesus in the house of a Pharisee. What exactly she intended to do isn't clear... she probably meant to anoint his head, a sign of honour. Instead, she broke down.

Bishop of Rome and Ecumenical Dialog with Orthodox Christians
One of the main stumbling blocks in the ongoing Ecumenical Dialog between Roman Catholic church and the Orthodox Churches is the primacy of the bishop of Rome. Difference in view on this particular issue lies in the way each sees the figure of the Pope and how he should exercise his authority. Although endless discussions can be held to prove each other prospective the real difference is not as crucial as one may see it.

Christian Worship Without Walls
Over the years, we've all discovered difficulty with worship...you know, full-on, unreserved worship of God. My latest worship challenge was our recent election season, where I allowed the mudslinging and fear mongering to build walls in me to the point I didn't even want to worship. Every time the Lord has led me to tear down these kinds of walls, He's revealed to me how I was the one who built them in the first place. In this article, we're going to deal with these spiritual walls that infect our attitudes and destroy our worship, in the hopes that we can all stop building them and open ourselves up to worship our lord and receive from His Spirit freely.

Fighting Against God
Through the centuries, many religions have fought against Christianity and the Jews. Never destroying them nor stopping them from their faith in God and Christ. They are not fighting against us but are fighting against God and His people. For to fight and not win should be a sign to them that God is on the side of the righteous.
