Missionary Work Is Awesome

Missionary work is awesome. It is that simple. It is hard to describe the in-describable. Many times people think that the real reason for the trip is for the heathens of the world yet it is so much more than that. Personally, I have been on about eight trips and each one is different. It is very true that God works in mysterious ways. In fact he works in all of our lives but most of the time we cannot see beyond our own selfless world.

The Rich Man and Lazarus: Luke 16:19-31 - Part 1

The question is often asked, is the account of the rich man and Lazarus a historical account or is it a parable? Is it the true story of two men who lived and died during the time of Christ's earthly ministry or is it a made-up story used by the Lord to drive home a point? I believe that the evidence is that it describes an actual history of these two men.

The AntiChrist and the False Prophet as You Have Never Seen Them - Revelation 11

After many years thinking I was one of the two witnesses and many hours in the prophets of the Old Testament I am able to preach Revelation out of the prophets and without Daniel. People assume they know how the book of Revelation plays out and they assume they can preach about the Beast and yet when you really know Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit well you find that the book still remains a mystery and very few people have any Holy Spirit inspired insight into the book. So let me share with you a little story, the very opposite of what you have read anywhere and see if it sounds plausable to you. You may come to recognise the two witnesses when they come on the scene and have time to come out of Babylon and be saved from the seduction of the Beast after all. It may all be a bit of fiction to you but I could show you a hundred scriptures to back it up.

The Question of Human Suffering

Human suffering is one of the most difficult things to understand in this world. The Bible does give some explanations, though it is a subject that cannot be completely comprehended. God’s ways are beyond ours, and we must accept it by faith, knowing the Creator cannot do evil. We cannot answer this completely because our thoughts are not his thoughts and our ways are not his ways (ISA 55:9). We must however, remember that this world was not meant to be a perfect place without difficulties or suffering. Although it was created and belongs to the God of heaven, Satan reigns as the god of this world (2 CO 2:4). He goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he can devour (1PE 5:8). The evil one causes much pain and suffering by inflicting people with hate and destructive sinfulness.

Mega Churches And Christian Discipleship

There is a new model in modern Western Christian worship that is growing in numbers far faster than other models...the Mega-Church. While the vast numbers and rate of numerical growth are impressive, this style of worship and fellowship has significant drawbacks when it comes to discipleship. We'll cover what the style is, the discipleship drawbacks and a couple solutions that can help overcome the weaknesses of the mega-church to make it personal and inviting.

Introduction to Prosperity - Be Faithful With Money

The idea that truly spiritual people should not be concerned with worldly riches, isn't what Jesus taught. Instead, He taught that our faithfulness with money determines whether or not we will be entrusted with the true riches.

Saint Nicholas and Santa Claus - Separating Myth From Truth

Some how it became natural to believe that Santa Claus and Saint Nicholas are one and the same person. You maybe surprised to learn that Santa Claus and Saint Nicholas do not have that much in common after all. Unfortunately in English and some other languages their name may seam similar, but in many cultures the person of Santa Claus is called by the names that do not resemble name “Nicholas” in any way. There is strong tendency in our society to identify Saint Nicholas with Santa Claus, as a complimentary to each other, this is particularly true about commercialized western society. In order to separate the truth about Saint Nicholas from the myth of Santa Clause we need to take a closer look into the history.

Christians Took Christ Out of Christmas Years Ago So Why All the Crying About XMas?

Christians are appalled that Christ is being taken out of Christmas yet many years ago they substituted Christ for selfish giving. So, what is the big deal? Giving the Christ-way means that we are giving to those who cannot give a gift in return to us; giving to the poor, to the needy, to the naked, to the widow, and to the orphan. When this happens we will keep Christ in Christmas.

Why Do People Say What They Do Not Mean

Mel Gibson offended many people by his anti-semantic words when he was under the influence of alcohol. In order to understand why he said, what he did, we must look not only at his life, but what makes up our human consciousness.
