    Why Offer Pedophiles Therapy?

Admittedly, with this subject, no matter what I write there will be criticism, but it's worth it if others will take a step back from the emotions and consider true solutions to the problem of pedophilia. Fear and anger are normal responses to child molestation but they can't form the basis of any real solution. Instead, we need to understand the problem, craft prevention strategies, determine effective punishment and establish treatments for both the victims and the pedophiles. Since prevention, victim treatment and pedophile convict treatment/punishment are exhaustively covered elsewhere, we're going to focus, here, on therapy for pedophiles (and potential pedophiles) as part of the crime prevention strategy.

    Penalties For Drunk Driving

Gone are those days when the local policeman would gently give you a warning and send you home if you were stopped for drunk driving. The maximum punishment in those good old days would be a ticket or a fine. However, with alarming rate of drunk driving accidents, law enforcement are taking a very strict view on drunk driving. The penalties too have become serious and will continue to be so.

Protecting Your Mail From Identity Theft

Your mailbox holds a wealth of information for the identity theft as a thief can access it periodically if it is not protected. There are sources of personal information there that an identity thief will want to get their hands on. In addition, an energetic thief can fill out a change of address form at the post office and get your mail sent to a new address where it is readily available to him. Mail theft is a growing concern throughout the country and if you use a non-locking mailbox to either send or receive mail, you are at risk.

    Drug Courts

Today's statistical evidence states that the total number of processed crimes and imprisoned people in USA has significantly increased, this implies the increase of criminal processing costs and requires more financing for the prisons. At the same time, criminal statistics is not getting better and the number of crimes has not decreased during the recent period.

    The Necessary Witness

Ken McElroy terrorized all of northwest Missouri for twenty years, getting away with kidnapping, rape, assault, arson and burglary. He remained free because none of the witnesses to his crime would testify. He was shot to death in front of 45 witnesses in 1981. His killers remain at large, becuase the witnesses will not come forward. Without witnesses, the criminal justice system cannot work. Current unsolved gang crimes in Denver illustrate this point.
