Indeed, we must break off the tyranny of experts and actively strive to save our corners of the world one idea at a time.

Should the Drinking Age Be Lowered?
If you you are 18 years of age, you get join the armed forces, but the legal drinking age remains 21. Most people in the military today are between the ages of 18 to 22. With the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan tens, of thousands of America's youth are being asked to kill and get killed, get wounded, maimed and generally be damaged psychologically for the rest of their lives. But when they come home, they are still not allowed to buy alcohol. This has to be one of the sickest, most twisted things I ever heard in my life.

The Definition Of Etiquette
At its simplest etiquette is just a set of rules, mostly flexible, that allow us all to function well when presented with a socially challenging situation. Knowledge of etiquette prevents us from appearing stupid or boorish. Alternatively of course etiquette can be looked upon as an antiquated set of obtuse rules and requirements (stemming from the old 'court' culture of Royal families past and present) having little relevance to 99.99% of the world's population.

Is a Peaceful World Possible?
In the late sixties, the youth of the West became enraptured with the concept of peace. John Lennon captured these times with the simple messages of 'all we are saying is give peace a chance' and 'war is over if you want it'. However although the peace movement contributed significantly to the ending of the Vietnam War, thirty years later we find that many young people are actually quite cynical about the possibility of global harmony ever taking root on earth.
