In Part I of the article we have discussed the principle of the force that make objects go around the others and how the Moon is a satellite of the Earth and the Earth, one of the satellite of the Sun. We have defined the terms, geosynchronous orbits, Molniya orbits and the low polar Earth orbits. We have sited Newton’s first law to match the principle of how the objects are kept in orbit. We have also touched very briefly about artificial satellites and have gone into an example of the cannon ball firing, explaining how a super heavy cannon ball, thrown into space with a equally forceful power, could be orbiting the Earth. This gave man-kind the dream of putting up artificial satellites in the sky, orbiting the Earth.
